Growing Communities is a community-led organisation based in Hackney, North London, which is providing a real, practical alternative to the current damaging food system – changing what we eat, how we eat and how it’s farmed.
We run an organic fruit and veg scheme, and a weekly organic Farmers’ Market. We have a Patchwork farm of sites in Hackney and Dagenham Farm in east London.
We’re building a better food system that’s fair to farmers, kind to the planet and great for all of us. For over 20 years, we have harnessed the buying power and skills of our community to reshape the food and farming systems that feed us, providing people with an ethically driven alternative to the current damaging food system.
